SOIL HETEROGENEITY ASSESSMENT TECHNOLOGIES
Spatial soil heterogeneity can be observed in many agro-climatic regions of Ukraine. This causes crop producers across the country to seek new ways to assess and interpret spatial data pertaining to individual fields. Thus, both natural and man-induced soil heterogeneity frequently means different levels of water and nutrient availability through the growing season present in different parts of a field. Consequently, the most economically optimum field management will normally follow these differences. This means spatially variable yield goals as well as rates of economically optimum fertilization, liming, or seeding in accordance to the local needs.
CALCULATION OF FERTILIZATION RATES FOR A GIVEN YEILD GOAL
Recommendations are a combination of different fertilization system factors that enables to calculate certain amendments for a given yield goal, to increase their cost-efficiency and, simultaneously, to maximize biological and economic efficiency of the process. A combination of differentiated chemical fertilizers allows ensuring a given yield goal, optimizing cultivation soil conditions, and avoiding some possibilities for irrational and unreasonable application of chemical fertilizers combined with crop production technology.
